The Industrial Fire Technology Association (IFTA) is the voice representing the manufacturers, end users, installation and service companies and their technical staff in the fire industry.
All IFTA members subscribe to our code of conduct and commitment to the implementation of standards and qualifications in the industry. This ensures the end users of service excellence and skilled service providers.
IFTA Service providers who carry the IFTA logo on their vehicles and business stationery signify their commitment to quality, qualifications, training and standards within the industry to provide the end user with the best solutions to the highest standards.
IFTA membership is open to any company operating in the fire industry or having an interest in the fire industry that agrees to subscribe to and be governed by the IFTA code of conduct and ethics as well as meeting our qualification standards as amended from time to time.

MISSION STATEMENT
IFTA’s mission is to serve its members and their clients by ensuring our members commitment to our goal of professional service excellence to the industry via the following:
- Compliance with all the relevant codes of practice and legislation requirements.
- Achieving industry advancement by co-
operation with the relevant government departments and institutions to ensure our member organizations are equitably represented at all times. - Striving to ensure that any training shall follow the correct procedures as per the government recognized organizations via SAQA. Where such relevant technical training does not exist we shall work with relevant organizations and institutions to help facilitate their introduction.
- Always keeping our members up to date on current and pending legislation, and therefore able to advise their clients how to correctly achieve legal compliance.
- Compliance with out internal Code of Conduct, ethics and rules as laid down by the members.
- Ensuring members are correctly registered with the required institutions and certification bodies.
- Providing a forum for clients and members to exchange ideas, vice their concerns and have any complaints inestigated.
- Ensuring that the members have representation on the governing bodies and institutions where IFTA has elected representatives.
- Ensuring that the interests of our members are based only on technical and or legislative issues and not influenced by commercial interests.
- Guaranteeing fairness and transparency.
- Guaranteeing access by all the stakeholders in the industry.
